Hell and Back

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden…. Let your light shine before men.’ (Matthew 5:14-15)

Last Thursday night I had a dream in which Jesus came to me to tell me that he wanted to take me to hell to see a sample of what it was like. At first I was very reluctant to go! In my own life I guess I haven’t thought much about hell.

Perhaps I thought hell was like the last, cheapest hotel on Highway 5; dirty linens, no trees and very hot sunshine.

There is a popular saying that hell is paved with the road of good intentions. I have never quite understood what that meant; all I knew was that it wasn’t good .I think it is something that angry parents tell their children when the kids don’t do their homework.

Jesus assured me that he would stay with me so we went for a brief visit to a place no one wants to see in person. On this evening Jesus took me to a strategy session of hundreds of demon warriors sitting around a campfire. Their faces were distorted and each demon wore a mask similar to what you would see actors wear in a Greek play. The masks had bizarre shapes and represented sinful emotions: greed, lust, anger, selfishness etc. I could feel my heart beating faster as I looked back and forth at the bizarre, twisted demeanor of the group. The air was putrid and I felt like I could barely breathe. I grabbed onto Jesus tighter than before.

One of the masked creatures was complaining loudly with gross distorted gestures while the others were agreeing as they swayed back and forth to the tempo of the speaker’s words. They were talking about me! What breath I did have dried up inside my body when I heard the demon mention my name. The demon was complaining that the Sozo I had been involved in that very night that had set a young man free. The demons brazen comments were stating that he couldn’t take it anymore; he was losing his rights to people because of Sozo.

Jesus leaned over and whispered to me, “Isn’t it wonderful what you and I did today? They’re mad at us and it’s great. Keep it up Son.”

In a moment I was back in bed in the cramped little shoebox (RV). Katy stirred slowly as I leapt up in the bed. I had been to hell and back!

What I learned that night is that Hell is no one’s place of destiny. To get there is a road of speed bumps, pot holes and unresolved life issues. Hell is not a path of promise and it is much worse than Highway 5!

I realized my little ministry efforts had made a dent in the plans of the demons of hell. Never underestimate what your prayers and daily efforts to minister to the world can do when you co-operate with Jesus.

As many of you know the Holy Spirit gave me a picture last Thursday night of people laying on a stretcher. I thought it meant that sick people were coming to the healing rooms, but in reality it was a picture of each of us laying on a stretcher not because we were sick but because Jesus wanted to minister to us his rest and peace. The image made a big impression on me. With that thought in mind I urge you to do resting in Jesus this month.
That doesn't mean you can't minister it just means we need to minister and war from under His wing, resting while we do it.
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28: " Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
Well, What does rest really mean? Dr. Siang Yang Tan defines Godly rest as:
quietness of heart, an ability to let go, an ability to enjoy leaisure and nature, doing things that don't involve performance and periods of reflection.
It was interesting that Tan included in his definition the ability to wait patiently. I could work on that one all month long!
Pray today that the Holy Spirit will:
Give you his rest
Give you patience while you are waiting in lines or waiting for people
What do you need to let go of today?
Sit quietly and ask the Holy Spirit to quiet your heart.

Spirit Of Abortion

In praying for many people, we are beginning to find that many children with learning disabilities have a spirit of abortion on them. What I mean by that statement is that someone in the family didn't want the baby. It isn't always the mother who has the issue, it can be the father or grandparents or even the doctor who might give advice that the pregnancy is risky etc. That of course doesn't mean every child with learning disabilities has this issue, but in my prayer time with people I am finding about 80 % relevance.
If this rings true in your case. Pray in the name of Jesus to lift the spirit of abortion off the child and repent on behalf of any relatives who advocated that the child not be born.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to include one of the testimonies of what Jesus did when we prayed for children at Aslans several weekends ago. Don't ever give up for for yourself and your family!

My son was seen on Saturday. He was very mello afterward. He was upbeat during a party we attended. He has shown a lot less complaining and has been very obiedient with his responsibilities. His demeanor is different he behaves more empowered, accomplished and motivated. I would like to attend more of these meetings.I would like information on any youth group activities if available. Signed, Jeffrey

This past weekend Katy and I were at Aslan's Place with Paul Cox. We prayed for 15 children and young adults in 20 minute sessions. We could feel the strong presence of God. Live worship was lifted up to the Lord all day long. After each prayer session the student was escorted to another room to be prayed for by on fire youth from Aslan's Place for another 20 minutes. Many young people have the fire of God in them these days and their laying on of hands can only help.
I noticed several interesting things in praying this weekend.
Firstly, the Lord revealed that many of the people we prayed for had visual convergence problems which were influencing their ability to concentrate. If you have trouble concentrating on reading and tire easily when reading, pray this prayer: "Lord Jesus I give you the glory for healing my brain. In your name I command the visual convergence system to conform to the way the Father created it. Jesus, come now and destroy all distractions to my visual concentration."
Secondly, when I was praying for people the Holy Spirit was revealing to me that it is important that the left and right brain be equally balanced. Don't ask we what that means because I don't really know. It was God revelation that needs more wisdom. The Lord is trying to puzzle me and challenge my earthly wisdom from the field of educational psychology.
We prayed for brain balance for people and some of them said they noticed, peace and rest and less chaos in their brain. So I'm going to start praying that way for others.
I was putting both hands on peoples head, one hand on each side of their head and squeezing the sides gently together. I prayed something like: "In the name of Jesus, I command the right and left brain to function equally. All neurons and dendrites will function the way the Father created them to be."
One of the kids that got prayed for Saturday was so tired from the prayer session that he went right to sleep! I know God is doing something.
Try praying these brief prayers over yourself and email me with the progress!
Good Morning, We will be using this posting board to discuss new advances in prayer that Jesus is showing us as we pray at the Ventura Healing Rooms and speak and minister at a variety of meetings. It seems as if the Lord wants to do something new in the area of praying for the brain. The medical model of helping people with learning disabilities or a.d.d. is not healing people because it does not bring glory to God. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the field of medicine, but Jesus wants to be asked first and foremost and as we seek him new insights and miracles for the brain will follow.
So check every week for new postings about what revelations we are learning from the Lord about the brain.
This is just the beginning!
Don't lose hope!
